"Are these extravagant promises? We think not. They are being fulfilled among us - sometimes quickly sometimes slowly. They will always materialize if we work for them." -- Big Book p. 84

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.

This closed AA meeting started in March 2020 as a way for women in rural South Carolina to connect during the Covid-19 crisis. We were blessed to be joined by many other women from GROW (Grateful Recovering Online Women). As face-to-face meetings resumed, we realized that our group was fulfilling a need for many who were not able to attend face-to-face meetings. Our members are from all over the United States and many other countries; thus we are Sober Women of The World.
We welcome all women who desire to stop drinking.

Together we read and discuss the step of the month.
Monday and Thursday
During the last week of the month we discuss that month's tradition in lieu of step study.
We discuss issues related to sobriety guided by the meeting's Chair person.
Wednesday, Friday and every other Saturday
Tuesday discussion meetings center around AA approved literature.
We come together every other week as one of our members shares her experience with alcohol, how she came to A.A., and how her life has changed as a result of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Every other Saturday
